Prabowo's Times Optimistic in Winning, There is Support from the NU Founding Family

BuletinDigital. Member of the National Winning Body (BPN) Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno, Sodik Mujahid, admitted that he was increasingly optimistic that the candidate number of Vice President-Candidate pair 02 could win in the upcoming 2019 Presidential Election.

The optimism was getting stronger, after the family of three founders of Nahdlatul Ulama, KH Hasyim Asy'ari, KH Wahab Chasbullah and KH Bisri Syansuri visited Prabowo-Sandi to express their support.

"We are increasingly optimistic about winning the 2019 presidential election with the support of the clerics from the NU founding families. This is an extraordinary support besides we also get support from the wider community," Sodik said through his statement on Thursday.

Support from the family of three NU founders, according to Sodik, shows that all this time Prabowo received all parties. In fact, he added, all this time Prabowo was attacked by various issues that cornered him personally, but it was precisely the support of the NU clerics who got the General Chair of the Gerindra Party.

"Especially last night the clerics who came to Mr. Prabowo's residence admitted that if he was recognized internationally and his assertiveness also need not be doubted for Indonesia. The kiai want a change for Indonesia that is far better, which is now getting backward," he explained.

Regarding the news that there was a refusal from one of Garut's boarding schools and PCNU towards the arrival of KH Ma'ruf Amin, Sodik was reluctant to respond. According to him, the Prabowo-Sandi team focused on embracing the community and establishing friendship with all elements.

"We do not want to interfere with the news, we also do not want to interfere with the affairs of Pak Kiai Ma'ruf Amin," he concluded.
