Sandiaga Promises to Stop Imports of Staples, Campaign in Samarinda

LensaAktual. After Tarakan, Sandiaga Uno today campaigned in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. He returned to the market and listened to the traders.
In his campaign in Samarinda this morning, Saturday, Sandiaga went to Segiri Market in Samarinda Ulu. Some traders said that food prices were fluctuating so that profits were uncertain.

"If possible, Sir, the prices should not go up and down. Now up by ten thousand, whereas yesterday Rp. 21 thousand, now it is Rp. 31 thousand," said Aci, as written in the statement of the National Winning Body (BPN) Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga.

"High prices, sir. Our lives are looking for difficult profits," said another trader, Dahlia, who accompanied her husband to trade while carrying his toddler.
Sandiaga also said that he absorbed the aspirations of market traders. He stated that moving the people's economy became the focus of his work program with the presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto.

"Stable and affordable prices, creation and provision of jobs, and moving the people's economy are our focus. We receive the same complaints every day in socializing throughout Indonesia. Yesterday in Tarakan, Mrs. Syarifah or Mak Ijah said that chicken prices were Rp. 65 thousand, "said Sandiaga.

Cawapres number 02 promised to improve the fate of small and medium entrepreneurs, farmers, fishermen, market traders, and all Indonesian people. According to Sandi, the problem of unstable food prices in the market is due to distribution with chains that are too long to burden selling costs.

"We will create a distribution chain that is simple, open, and fair. So that affordable prices and traders like Aci and Dahlia can calmly sell without worrying about price fluctuations," promised the Chairman of the Indonesian Market Traders Association (APPSI).

"We will stop importing basic commodities, especially when farmers harvest and provide employment opportunities to domestic children rather than foreign workers," Sandiaga continued.
Hundreds of people welcomed Sandiaga's arrival at Segiri Market. Many also shouted his name and asked to take pictures together with the former DKI Deputy Governor.
