Sandiaga Uno Promises Simplify Distribution Chains for Stable Food Prices

KolomMedia. Candidate for vice president Sandiaga Uno promised to simplify the food distribution chain. The goal, so prices can be stable.

"We will create a distribution chain that is simple, open and fair. So that affordable prices and traders like Aci and Dahlia can calmly sell without worrying about prices going up and down," said Sandiaga at Jalan Piri Segiri Samarinda Market, Sidodadi, Samarinda Ulu, Samarinda City East Kalimantan, as quoted from the written statement on Saturday.

This was conveyed by Sandiaga after hearing complaints about unstable prices from traders in the market, Aci and Dahlia. He promised, if he and Prabowo Subianto were elected, prices would stabilize.

"Stable and affordable prices, the creation and provision of jobs and mobilizing the people's economy are our focus. We receive the same complaints every day in socializing throughout Indonesia," he said.

He then promised not to import food ingredients during the harvest period. Sandiaga also said that he and Prabowo focused on providing opportunities for local workers compared to foreign workers (TKA).

"We will stop importing basic commodities, especially when farmers harvest and provide employment opportunities to domestic children rather than foreign workers," said the former General Chair of the Indonesian Market Traders Association (APPSI).

Sandiaga himself arrived in Samarinda since Friday night. He immediately met his supporters and ate at one of the typical yellow rice stalls in Samarinda and promised to help develop small businesses.

"Ibu Ijay's yellow rice tastes very tasty, Ibu Ijay has 15 employees and one day she cooks 2 sacks. Well, these are the types of businesses that Prabowo-Sandi will assist in the future, because Prabowo-Sandi believes that 97 percent of the jobs created by figures like Ibu Ijay, "Sandi said.
